Carol Maxwell

A writer and poet based in Blenheim, Carol's various careers have included sustainable small business development in New Zealand, and audiometry in Australia, writing myriad policies, procedures, strategic business plans, professional development workshops, articles, reports, reports and more reports.
Outside hours she wrote poems and creative fiction. She has been published in several local and international magazines and anthologies and been a finalist in several writing competitions where she continues to bravely wave the flag of aspiration. Her first hybrid collection of poetry and creative non-fiction, 'The Geologist's Daughter', was published in 2024, and, now free of report writing, she is working on her second collection. When she’s not badgering words, she is reading them, gardening, hiking, working in creative fibres and messing about in boats. |
