Emma Carruthers is a poet and creative nonfiction writer who has recently completed her Master’s degree in Creative Writing through Massey University. She has had poetry published in journals and magazines across New Zealand, Australia, the US and Guatemala. She works as a copy editor for Headland Literary Journal and as the manager for the Book Vault, Nelson's only second hand bookstore located in Founders Park, where she also organises literary events and creative writing classes for children, teens and adults. After a decade living in rural Guatemala writing and teaching poetry and meditation, Emma now resides in beautiful Glenduan with her three young children where she is working on a memoir in any small moments she gets.
