The NZSA Writer Toolkit
The NZSA Writer Toolkit is an online learning platform that offers writers a wide range of modules on writing and the writing life. A broad range of presenters bring a wealth of writing experiences and approaches. Whether you’re starting out, mid-career or established, there’s something for everyone. Modules are available to do in your own time, on your phone, tablet, ipad or computer.
Special rates are available to NZSA members, with prices starting at $20.00 for an individual module. Members are also entitled to one free module with each membership renewal.
Writing groups in the Top of the South are also eligible to apply for a small grant towards a group workshop based on these modules.
For early-stage writers especially, it may be useful - and can certainly be encouraging - to join an on-line writing group. There are a multitude on Facebook, though some of them are unfortunately of dubious value and intention. One we can recommend is Writers On Purpose, a private group, run by Vicki Millar in Auckland.
